• Yoga Nidra/Sleep Meditation for Ultimate Relaxation:

    A 4-week Series with Carey Carty

    Yoga Nidra is a form of restorative meditation. It is a powerful tool for helping to restore the body and mind following times of stress. Just one session is equivalent to 4-6 hours of sleep. For this reason, it is an ideal practice for anyone who experiences sleep disruptions or high levels of stress.

    This new 4-week Sunday evening series is suitable for all levels of Yoga experience. Whether you are new to Yoga, or an experienced Yogi, or teacher of Yoga, everyone is welcome to attend.

    Each class will begin with a few minutes of mindful movement to help open and release tension and help the body prepare for Yoga Nidra, followed by a 45-minute guided Yoga Nidra session. Participants will receive two short recordings during the course for home practice.

    Benefits:

    Practicing Yoga Nidra regularly can help us access the parts of the brain that allow for greater insight and quiet the parts of the brain that are responsible for negative thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Yoga Nidra works well to alleviate stress, improve sleep, and heal unresolved emotional issues. A regular practice helps us learn to recognize an underlying state of peace that is always present within us – regardless of the circumstances we are facing in life.
